Pamper Me!

Thanks Angie for a fun night!! I know someone else had a camera, but here's a few pics I took. Thought I'd share. We enjoyed snacks and pampering including masks, soaking our feet, makeovers, hair do's, doing nails, chatting with friends and "The Science of Sexy" - a cool book that tells you all the dos and don'ts for your body shape and size. Thanks Carol for sharing the book!

July 4th Block Party!

Just an FYI - in case you haven't heard, YES the block party is on for this year! The live band will be back. The bounce houses, cotton candy and popcorn too! Of course, we'll have the standard BBQ grills, pot luck dishes, drinks, races and FIREWORKS! Dani and Lisa are overseeing the delivery of the flyers ... so watch for those coming soon to your front door! Party is on Tuesday. We are askign families who plan to come to contribute $10-20 to cover all the expenses! If you have any of the following and want to contribute, call the person in charge! Spread the word.

THANKS ladies for all your help and support on this BIG party. Thanks to all of you who kept it going last year when we just couldn't do it. Sorry the girls' band just didn't happen this year ... I just couldn't get my stuff together to practice enough and the part was HARDER than I thought it would be. We'll work on it for the next year or some other fun event!

The cruise!

Ok, so who is going on the February cruise? If you haven't heard details yet, its becuase Lisa B doesn't have your email addy!! Open invitation to those in our group as well as anyone else who wants to have some fun!! Adults only. : ) Call or email Lisa B.

I booked ours today. I REALLY didn't think Steve would go for it since we are leaving for Italy in 27 days and about 12 hours (I'm not counting down though or anything!) and we're still shelling out the dough for that. But he said it sounded "do-able" and said to go ahead and book it. I was on the phone 5 minutes later - not risking him changing his mind. I've never been on a cruise so I can't wait.

Who is going that is NOT scuba certified? I want to see if I can do it. Not sure with my fear of not being able to touch the bottom when I'm swimming - I bet most of you didn't know that until college I couldn't swim AT ALL! I've got the strokes great, its just this fear of not being able to breath! I'm really thinking that scuba will be ok for me.

I voted the later time for dinner ... that way we have more time on shore. I had gotten really slack on my diet. I figured I wasn't going to reach my goal for Italy so I wasn't going to stress. Guess its time to set a new goal! : )

May Ladies Night Out - Made of Honor

First LNO-Favorite Things

Our Favorite Things! 

Thanks Oprah for a great idea!  Sorry ladies that I don't have as much money as Oprah, but I thought it was just as cool-if not cooler.  I loved EVERYONE'S favorite things.  I even learned something new about my friends.  This is a picture of all our favorite things.  I can't wait to delve into my FAVORITE treats and new ideas.  Here is what I remember from the night:

MET: I LOVE LNO'S-hence the reason that this was created...My short list: shoes, digital scrapbooking, pampered chef clippies, and ghirardelli caramel treats.

Andrea: loves shoes, New York and Carnegie delli (hopefully I will get to try sometime), Burts Bees, and yummy chocolate covered strawberries.  Promise-we'll get you in the picture next month!

Laura: loves her spa treatment showers!  We love the easy facial washclothes and foot pumice- AHHHH!  And don't forget the Laser Hair removal-totally worth the pain and money.

Brooke:  (who is soooo organized) loves her Home and fitness magazines, IPOD, cool pens, 5 Love Languages of Children-I think we all want it!, and chocolate licorice.

Carol: loves Costco (who doesn't-except maybe Brooke (don't worry-we'll convert you!), See's candy-yummy and her cool IPOD.  Her children actually do the dishes to the "working" song from Enchanted.

Michelle:  LOVES her new MacBook and digital scrapbooking!  We will convert everyone!  And thank you for your famous CHOCOLATE CAKE!  and we ALL got one.

Donna:  Loves her scrapbooks (although she says we won't convert her to digital...we'll see about that :)), little knick-knacks, fresh flowers, mike n' ikes, traveling, and her great friends!  We love you too!

Angie:  Who knew that she loves hard core rock?  And we thought she was so clean-cut :).  She is amazing at sports and loves to be outside.  And reading...just ask her for a good recommendation.  Reese Peanut Butter cups are her favorite-something about chocolate and peanut butter together...I agree!

Lisa:  Loves her bath and body works aromas, megaplex movie cup-it's only 99 cents, chocolate covered cinnamon bears and a free cell phone info number-1-800-466-4411

Dani:  Loves digital scrapbooking, Hair products-I think she is trying to sell us-SOLD!, and an awesome music CD.

Even though the chocolate fountain didn't work...it was a fun night.  And we even learned a little about Oprah with a cheesy little quiz-That Carol got a perfect score on!  Way to go Oprah lover!!  Thank you for sharing.  I can't wait to see what's to come!
